Welcome to Myers Middle School

Opened in 2013, Myers Middle School is named for Dr. Bettye Myers, a former professor at Texas Woman’s University and longtime advocate for public education and the Denton community. Dr. Myers held several leadership positions in organizations throughout the area, including a former member and President of the Denton ISD Board of Trustees.

Myers Middle School was the district’s seventh middle school and is located in the town of Shady Shores, serving the Ryan High School attendance zone. The school is adjacent to Stephens Elementary.
